Bharatanatyam Classical Dancer & Educator

Smt Rekha Dineshkumar started her training in Bharathanatyam, under Guru late Smt. Lalita Dorai, of Ganesh Natya Mandir, Bangalore. She is continuing her learning under Guru B.Bhanumathi and Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar of “Nrityakalamandiram and has given various performances under their guidance. She has performed at programs organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Sangeetha Nrithya Academy, All India Youth festival, Dharwad, as well as under various banners like the Indian Institute of World Culture, the Malleshwaram Sangeetha Sabha and the ICCR. She was as an assistant artistic director at Kalapadma Dance Academy in Chicago, USA for 4 years. A recipient of the “Nrithya Shiromani” title at Cuttack Utsav, Odisha, she is the founder and artistic Director of Benaka Natya Mandir in HSR Layout, where she has trained numerous students.

K Swarna Manikandan began learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Smt. Jayanthy Thyagarajan. Later, she was trained under the direct guidance of Smt. Sangeetha Pradeep. She continued practicing Bharatanatyam under Guru Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran. She was a member of the Bharatanatyam dance ensemble Kalaanuroopa. Her love for the art form has made her start a Bharathanatyam tutoring cente, Swarna Natyadwarka at Malleshpalya, Bangalore where she trains students in this divine art form.
Her students have performed at Udupi All India classical dance festival Utsav, Mahashivratri Mahotsava, Nrithya Jyothi festival, Natyanjali Utsav and many more. Many have performed their Selengai pooja along with live music orchestra. The highest examination provided by them is Senior diploma in Surabharathi Sangeet Parishad examnination board at the present. Students are aiming to appear for Vidwath examination in the coming years. She have received certificate from television actress and an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer Natya Mayuri Sudhachandran. Performed at Melpathur Auditorium at Guruvayur Temple, Udupi All India classical dance festival Utsav, Natyanjali Utsav, Natya Taranga and many more. Swarna has aced many awards as Natya Saraswathi, Natya Ratna Prashasti, Natya Mayuri to name a few from several dance festivals. She has completed her MA in Bharatanatyam as well from the Kalai kaveri college of fine arts. She aims in delivering the her best teachings of Bharatanatyam to the students in this field.

Carnatic Classical Vocalist & Music Educator

Vidushi Smt. Mahalaxmi Talithaya V is an accomplished Carnatic classical vocalist and experienced music teacher with over two decades of dedication to the field of music. She began her musical journey at the age of 10 under Dr. Hanumanth Burli, learning Hindustani bhajans.She later pursued formal training in Carnatic music under Sri Narasimha Upadhyaya and Sri Nagaraj Upadhyaya in Udupi, completing her Junior and Senior examinations. She earned her Vidvath qualification under the guidance of Smt. Varijakshi Bhat and Smt. Chandrika Manjunath. She continues her advanced training with Sri Thirumale Shrinivas at Samanvaya Kalakendra, Bangalore. An M.Com graduate with Vidvath in Carnatic Classical Vocal, she has been teaching music since 2000. In 2010, she founded Ganasudha School of Music, affiliated with Gangubai Hanagal University, where she trains both junior and senior level students. She is an active performer, regularly participating in Thyagaraja Aradhana celebrations in Bangalore and the annual Chaturmasya music programme at Edneer Mutt near Kasaragod. She has also composed and rendered music for Subhashithas featured on the Vedanthavahini YouTube channel.
